Nagy-Tsutsumi Maiko

ナジ 堤 麻衣子

Born in Fukuoka, Japan, she began classical ballet as a young child and, in her teens, set off for Europe.

She spent 16 years with the Dutch National Ballet, dancing roles ranging from corps de ballet to soloist.

After retiring from the stage, she studied the Vaganova method in depth, earning a bachelor's and master's degree. She has taught at national ballet schools in the Netherlands and Hungary, and has also held in-person classes in Japan during visits home.

Now based in Hungary, she brings together her experience as a dancer and her perspective as a teacher, working closely with each student.
